Make Lasting Connections, One Game at a Time…

On Arrival — Before jumping into games, take a moment to introduce yourself to fellow players and host. Share a bit about yourself, where you're from, and what you enjoy outside of chess. This sets a friendly tone and encourages personal connections, enhancing the overall atmosphere of our gatherings and helps participants to relate to one another on a personal level.

Respect — Embrace differences in skill level, cultural background, identity, and neurodiversity. Treat everyone with kindness, empathy, and understanding. Foster a spirit of collaboration and mutual support among participants. Offer assistance and encouragement to players of all skill levels, and be open to learning from others.

Fair Play — Embrace integrity and sportsmanship in your chess games by respecting the rules and your opponent's decisions. Forgiveness for blunders and allowing takebacks not only fosters growth and camaraderie among players but also bridges the experience gap, ensuring a challenging yet inclusive environment for all.

Listen and Learn — Be open to listening to different perspectives and learning from others. Engage in constructive dialogue and exchange ideas in a respectful manner, even when disagreements arise. Before trying to offer advice, ensure it's welcome by asking first.

On Departure — Take a moment to bid farewell. A simple "goodbye" fosters camaraderie and leaves a positive impression, contributing to our welcoming atmosphere. Acknowledging a departing player, even amidst focused gameplay, enhances our sense of community and ensures everyone feels valued and appreciated.

Photography — We occasionally capture photography and video stories during our events to showcase our vibrant community on social media. If you prefer not to be featured in these visuals, kindly inform the host to ensure your comfort and privacy.
